The Greatest Computer

To The Power Of 12. The Mac Pro has always been cutting edge, but now it is plain silly. Yes, the new Mac Pro has 12 CORES! My Acer Aspire has a 1.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and it is adequate. Earlier this year I was given the Acer, and it seemed crazy to have 1600 MHz of processing power. I was using a 800 MHz Scan for basic things ( it died after two months) and my main machine was a 1.25 GHz R.A.M (Built in Acocs Green, Birmingham.)

Specs:

Mac Pro

12 Core Processor @ 2.5 GHz

16 GB of RAM (Not a typo)

1 TB HDD

Acer Aspire 5630:

Dual Core Core2 Duo @ 1.6 GHz

2 GB of RAM ( I thought that was ridiculous! ;] )

100 GB HDD ( I thought that was ridiculous too )

iMac G3r

450 MHz PowerPC G3 Processor

256 MB of RAM

40 GB HDD

Ask yourself this. Do You NEED all that power! 450 MHz on the iMac is fine for Internet, Office 2004, iWork and OS X 10.3 ( 10.4 with 1 GB)

The Acer is more than adequate.
